. His new site increases visits rapidly after the shut down of Torrentspy. TorrentSpy, one of the largest BitTorrent search engines, has shut down itsĀ operations on March 24, 2008. According to the owner of TorrentSpy the decision was made out of a desire to protect the privacy of its users. "We have decided on our own, not due to any court order or agreement, to bring the Torrentspy.com search engine to an end and thus we permanently closed down worldwide," said Justin Bunnell, administrator and owner of TorrentSpy.
Movietorrents.info recently announced a cooperation with the Los Angeles bases advertising company DMotion. DMotion sees piracy as a chance for the motion picture industry to expand their viewers. The company is specialized in product placement, the practice of placing brand-name items as props in movies. DMotion's market research division cooperates with Movietorrents.info to get data about consumers interests and the international penetration of U.S. mass audience TV shows.
