Almaty opened VI exhibition of Asian goods in Kazakhstan

“China and Kazakhstan are the neighboring countries. Friendship between them has a long history. For 16 years of diplomatic relations the countries concluded a number of important documents aimed at further cooperation development,” Vice Chairman of the Government of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region has said opening the VI exhibition of Asian goods in Kazakhstan in Almaty yesterday.

According to him, the commodity circulation amounted to USD 13.88 billion in 2007.

The exhibition is one of the significant measures for promotion of multilateral expansion of international links. Besides, this is a platform for strengthening trade-economic cooperation with Kazakhstan and Xinjiang.

Today Kazakhstan is the largest partner of Xinjiang. The volume of commodity turnover between them reached USD 6.97 billion in 2007, by 50.7 per cent more than in 2006.

The Vice Chairman expressed hope the event would give a new impulse to the bilateral trade cooperation development.
