Palin Misquotes Albright from Starbucks Coffee Cup: What Else Did Palin Learn At Breakfast?

What Palin Learned At Breakfast
At a rally in California on Sunday, October 5, Palin shares with the crowd a quote she read on the back of a Starbuck's coffee cup.
"I'm readin' on my Starbuck's mocha cup, okay, the quote of the day? You'll never believe what the quote was. It was Madeleine Albright, former Secretary of State, and U.N. Ambassador. And Madeleine has as her quote of the day for Starbuck's — now she said it, I didn't — she said, 'There's a place in hell for women who don't support other women.'"
What Else Did Palin Learn At Breakfast?
Palin went on to say that after further reading that morning, she had even more insights to share with Joe and Jane Six Packs across America.
- That in this tough economy, spending $6 for a cup of coffee is not just for Latte Drinking Liberals.
- That Trix IS for kids and that she shoots rabbits from airplanes to prevent greedy bunnies from getting the cereal.
- That she believes "Life" cereal should be renamed "Choose Life - Even In the Case of Rape or Incest".
- That Aunt Jemima reminds her of Gwen Ifill, so she prefers Log Cabin syrup.
Hypocrisy
As for supporting or helping other women, one might wonder why Palin, as mayor of Wasilla, Alaska, required rape victims to pay for their own rape kits.
Budget documents show that Sarah Palin directly shifted the cost of the rape kits from the police department to the victims in her budget for fiscal year 2000. According to a former city council member who spoke with CNN, "Palin would review each department's budget line by line."
So Palin either knew of the victims being charged $500 - $1200 each for their rape kits and approved it, or she was grossly negligent in her role as state executive. Irl Stambaugh, who was police chief of Wasilla from the founding of the department until Sarah Palin fired him for "not fully supporting her efforts to govern," did not bill sexual assault victims for the cost of rape exams. As chief, he had included a line item in the budget to pay for the cost of such exams.
Some have speculated that Palin purposely removed the rape kits from the budget since the kits include the morning after pill, which terminates any pregnancy resulting from the crime. Palin believes life begins at conception and that it should be illegal for rape victims and victims of incest to terminate a pregnancy.
Alaska has the highest incidences of rape and incest in the United States of America.
