Let me go back to my previous discussion about Chinese Black Bean, Hoisin , and Oyster Sauces and Indonesian Kecap Manis . I had a lot of sauce leftover from making Steamed Oysters with Black Bean and Scallion Sauce so I made Mi Xao Don Chay (Vietnamese Vegetarian Crispy Chow Mein) that I had brought to my cousins' July 4th barbecue . This was a little bland for some people, so I doubled up on the...

As a Chow owner, you learn to expect that one or more Chows will always be positioned between you and the door. If there are multiple doors and multiple Chows, they will be distributed approximately according to a 1:1 Chow:door ratio. Where there is but a single door, they happily double up. The Chow is always between you and the door. Chows Guarding the Entryway July 2008 by enrevanche, on Flickr

Climer's column yesterday on Norm Chow is an excellent read. He seems to be really happy back in the college game and on the west coast. There is no doubt in my mind that he will have that UCLA offense marching up and down the field in the next couple of years. It seemed that he was just overmatched on the NFL field. It is obvious to anyone with a brain that Chow was fired because of the regression...
