Jump to the full entry & travel map Coimbra, Beiras, Portugal beautifuuuuuuuuuul old city, too steep though ;) at least for those who go to university classes every day (don't seem many at first sight ;) the university building is definitely the nicest part, on the top of a hill in the centre of the town..it was a particular period to visit the city, the queima das fitas had just started...

My journey to Porto didnrsquot exactly get off to a smooth start. I knew I had to catch a train to Coimbra B railway station but wasnrsquot sure which train to catch. I couldnrsquot see the train status screen. The bane of the blindy on the road. There were two trains waiting to leave so I had to make a choice. Naturally I made the wrong choice on the advice of a guy waiting on the platform.
