As part of our two-year retrospective of George Allen's "macaca moment," here's Joe Stanley's account of getting the video tapes (from S.R. Sidarth), watching them, and realizing there was a major story there: On Saturday, August 12th, I was called by [Webb for Senate technology director] Kevin Druff and [Webb for Senate research director] Jon Paul Lupo about some tracker video the Webb for Senate...

Bush Sr's Faustian Bargain with China or How US/China Trade Threatens to Wipe Out the US Middle Class

US/China trade has benefited China and a US elite consisting of about 1 percent of the nation's total population. It should come as no surprise, then, that the origins of US/China Trade are traced to the GOP administration of Richard Nixon. It is to be expected, then, that it was George Bush Sr who laid the groundwork for this sellout of the American middle class. Fact is 'US/China trade' was never...

Is the George Bush Biopic a Comedy?

With a cover of Louis Armstrong's "Wonderful World" belting out and James Cromwell's George Bush Sr delivering lines to Josh Brolin's Dubya like this ... "What are you cut out for? Fighting, chasing tail, driving drunk? What do you think you are? A Kennedy? You're a Bush. Act like one." ... it sure sounds like one. Trailer: for Oliver Stone's upcoming George W. Bush biopic, W .

" Is Dubya an Agent of the New World Order? " by William Hughes “ Out of these troubled times, our...objective can emerge--’a New World Order.’ ” - George Bush, Sr., Dubya’s Daddy When you mention the word “conspiracy” to explain a situation, most people tune you right out. They think you’re a whack-oh. Yet, the U.S. Congress, as dumb as it is, subscribes to the proposition that there is such a thing....

Good News For Obama

Let me preface my remarks by saying that I am a firm believer that the national polling really does not matter until after the second convention. When both candidates have chosen their VP and held their conventions, then I think we will really get a good idea of how the candidates are stacking up. [...]

“Aware of the Internet,” Computer Non-User McCain Touts eBay as Recession Cure

Two weeks ago, Huffington Post reminded Americans that John McCain by his own admission doesn’t know how to use a computer. Now, McCain campaign aide Mark Soohoo reassured voters that “John McCain is aware of the Internet” and “You don’t actually have to use a computer to understand how it shapes the country.” No doubt, [...]

CIS Countdown #27: U of T Varsity Blues

Fast facts: 49 consecutive losses. No wins since 2001. No winning season since 1995. But at least they have a new stadium, and have come close to breaking the streak in the past two seasons, with an end of game missed field goal the difference in a game against York last year, and a narrow loss to Waterloo the year before. The departure of head coach Steve Howlett does not mean the school is

Europeans allowed 'Palestinians' free passage in return for not being targeted

In March 1988, the CIA provided French intelligence officials with passport photos of Imad Mugniyah as well as information about the forged passport he was using. This enabled French immigration authorities to identify him at the border control. Yet because they feared that Mugniyah’s arrest would prompt the murder of French hostages held by his group in Lebanon, the French stepped back, to the great...

Fox News ignores ‘macaca’ anniversary when interviewing Allen.

Today marks two years since then-senator George Allen made a racial epithet against S.R. Sidarth, a campaign volunteer of Indian descent for Jim Webb. Coincidentally, Fox News brought on Allen today to talk about campaign politics, but made no mention of the ‘macaca’ anniversary. Raising Kaine put together a two-year retrospective here.
