I can't recommend this article enough for those looking for all the arguments against the Waxman-Markey climate change bill. Bottom line: the law may very well do nothing to reduce carbon emissions, and even make the problem worse, all while adding tons of cruft and handouts to an already-byzantine system of energy/agriculture regulation. To prove its critics wrong GM will demonstrate that their latest plug-in hybrid, the Chevrolet Volt , can make it to dealerships for the 2011 model year, with the release of it comprehensive action plan to enable cities to prepared for plug-in electric cars.The plan includes partnership with local communities like San Francisco and Washington D.C. where there is a heightened interest in hybrid vehicles.

The production of the Cadillac XLR, which is manufactured at the GM Bowling Green Assembly Plant, is on GM ’s cancellation list which will take effect this coming spring affecting about 40 personnel which are dedicated only to the XLR.

General Motors wanted to surprise us all and unveiled today the new Cadillac Converj Concept. The new 2+2 concept integrates the latest electric propulsion technology from GM called Voltec which provides the vehicle up to 40 miles (64 km), the same distance offered also by the new Jeep Patriot EV unveiled where else than at the Detroit Auto Show.
