On Monday, DuPont Co. said it was opening a solar-electric-equipment plant in Shanghai. Yesterday, it said it would close Marshall Laboratory on Grays Ferry Avenue, where Philadelphians have been making paint since the Civil War, and for DuPont since World War I.
