A 48-year-old Harrisville, New Hampshire, man has pleaded guilty to illegally drilling a well. Attorney General Kelly Ayotte says Jeffrey Bemis was sentenced Thursday to four months in jail with the sentence suspended for a year. He also was fined $5,000 with $1,500 to be paid within six months and the balance suspended for a year.
