Deal over drugstores' data dumping OK'd

INDIANAPOLIS -- The State Board of Pharmacy on Monday voted unanimously to approve separate agreements with two drugstore chains for the discarding of patient information in trash receptacles. CVS and Walgreen Co. each agreed to implement new safeguards, according to Bryan Corbin, spokesman for the Indiana attorney general. (Star report)
