LONDON (MarketWatch) -- Arkansas Best said second-quarter net income slipped to $16.2 million, or 64 cents a share, from $19.6 million, or 78 cents a share. Revenue rose to $498.5 million from $463.7 million. The transportation company cited rising diesel fuel and workers' compensation costs for the profit drop.
