First today's news: Twitter announced investments from Spark and Bezos. Bijan Sabet will become a Twitter board member. They haven't announced a business model, their approach is to get big and stable and figure it out later. Unlike some, I don't see any problem with this approach. Lots of companies have made their investors very happy (and users) with such an approach. Disclaimer: Sabet is a friend...

Its not news that Twitter has problems with availability. What I think may be news however is the community’s reaction to it. Sure some people have been abrasive and abusive. Some of have claimed they’re going elsewhere (anyone for Jaiku or Plurk?) But they keep coming back. One thing we should all remember though- Twitter is [...]

But that hasn't kept the company from getting another round of funding, and help from friends in high places. Amazon.com founder Jeff Bezos is investing in the social network using his personal venture investment...

Marshall Kirkpatrick over at ReadWrite Web has a good piece on Amazon founder Jeff Bezos investing in Twitter through a new round rumored to be $15 m, primarily for much-needed infrastructure improvements. As Marshall points out, Amazon is a poster child for early Internet scalability. It is also among the most rock solid of Web sites, and for that matter, retailers in general. I hope that Bezos' wisdom...

Twitter revealed, at long last, its sources of private funding, which are Bijan Sabet of Spark Capital and Jeff Bezos of his very own Bezos Expeditions....
