NRA is twisting arms to get DC’s firearms laws fixed. What’s going on here is that leadership in Congress does not want to force their colleagues to take a stand on gun control in an election year, because, let’s be honest, a lot of Democrats are anti-gun, and think DC’s revised laws are just fine. Good. Dem's fear proposing gun control now, especially in an election year, so what are they going to do about Washington, DC? The Hill notes that NRA is pressuring conservative Democrats to put up or shut up. Actually, put up or explain why not would be better but this is good enough. ☮
