As China opens to the world, the mysteries of the far East are revealed, and by all accounts this includes cats with wings. The Sichuan cats started sprouting wings over summer, although reports are scant at this stage as to whether they’ve managed take off as yet. More pics at the Mail.

The above images are from an article about winged cats on the Messy Beast Website Detail of my painting of a winged cat, called "The Caged Wonder". Had no idea it was a reality when I painted it. I was making a few puns here, one being a "catbird". Well, I’m not sure if these cats can actually fly but these photos sure do suggest they’re growing wings! The strange phenomenon is taking place in, of all places, China.
