Cliff Robertson is 85. Robertson won the best acting Oscar in 1969 for Charly. Most recently he has played Peter Parker’s Uncle Ben. Joe Theismann is 59. Allegedly his name was pronounced Thees-man until he went to Notre Dame and they realized that Thighs-man rhymed with Heisman (as in the Trophy). [...]
I recently signed up for a swap organised by one of our forum members called 'Little Boxes On The Hillside' . The swap required you to make 21 little buildings in a size 2.5 inches wide by 3 to six inches tall. The idea was first spawned by Sarah Fishburn and Angela Cartwright who published a book called 'In This House' . Here are my first 4 of the 21 and I really need to get a move on to complete...
Sorry-no pictures today! I did want to post though to say that the closet reno is almost done. With the help of my friend Lance, (do-it-yourself-er extraordinaire !) we managed to get 10 shelves installed and we only have the two long upper shelves left to complete. IT'S HERE!!! This morning when I opened my post box, Stampington's LIFE IMAGES was waiting for me! I didn't even leave the post office before I had ripped open the plastic bag it came and and flipped through to find my page. Here it is in all it's glory-I had no idea I would have an entire page to myself! WOW! What was really nice to see was that there were several Canadians included, which is always...
ArtPub Studios , an artist networking group I belong to has recently made some changes for the new year. We've got a brand new site and a group blog that has just been launched. Each member has her own individual blog within the blog and we will also be sharing art related content as a group. My ArtPub blog will have different entries and content than Tattered Edge* does. I will be talking more in...
Advent begins a week from today and it is one of my favorite liturgical seasons in the Christian tradition. Advent begins the new church year and is a season about waiting, preparing, and birthing. It also occurs at one of my favorite times of year, this slow descent toward winter and the solstice. This autumn was [...]
