What a fortunate coincidence - just channel surfing, I discovered one of my favourite films is about to start on BBC1, namely "The Quiet American" (2002), starring Michael Caine, Do Thi Hai Yen and Brendan Fraser, based on The Quiet American , the novel of the same name by Graham Greene, also a firm favourite.
