Movies update

Recently in the home theater, Hitchcock's personal favorite, "Shadow of a Doubt." It is arguably his best constructed film, in my mind: tight, real menace in an otherwise bucolic setting, and brilliant acting from Joseph Cotton (in his prime) and...

Women in Film (The best YouTube Evah!)

I posted that short video extract a couple days ago (The Greatest Movie Line ever..."Ghost Breakers") and sort of felt bad that I didn't even recognize Bob freakin' Hope. Weak in the movie-fu know-who. There may be something to say for that, but Bob Hope? Sheesh. But this famous YouTube "Women in Film" will test even the best and most knowledgeable movie fan. I know a few; my wife knows many.

Bushed

There's only 297 days left of Bush's presidency (too long!) and I can't imagine anyone being able to suffer him for 298. Which is why I find the whole notion of a W. movie suspect [tangent: my sympathies go out to Starwood Hotels ]. It's so soon.
