Ben Child: Despite claims the new film of Evelyn Waugh's film plays down the novel's religious elements, the only critic we can find who ringingly endorses it is from Christianity Today. Will you sing its praises?
LostLost Season 5Spoilers Lost did some filming at Kaneohe District Park last night. The neighborhood pool was converted to film scenes of a stormy sea. The floor of the pool was blacked out and black canvas was hung around the perimiter. The crew then put up giant fans, crane-mounted lights, and huge rain rigs. [...]
Stephen Law is bemused, because in Nigeria… Muslims are attacking Christians because they think that Christians prayed for the death of their leader, and their prayers worked. Why would their prayers work, though, if, as Muslim’s think, Christianity is a false religion? I assume that this is a rhetorical question, because the answer is pretty clear. Once you [...]
So, the back story goes something like this: Old, white haired Catholic guy in Great Britain issues stupid statement attributing a host of things to demonic possession - which he deems contagious. Promiscuity, as well as homosexuality and pornography, says 73 year-old Fr. Jeremy Davies, is a form of sexual perversion and can lead to [...]
Ed Brayton delves into the beliefs of a Catholic priest in England who recently announced that “among the causes of homosexuality is a contagious demonic factor.” The priest, Father Jeremy Davies, also said that “extreme secular humanism, ‘atheist scientism,’ is comparable to ‘rational satanism,’” which is one of the more ridiculous terms of abuse I’ve [...]
Father Jeremy Davies sounds like a real bundle of fun . What I find astonishing is that he apparently studied at St. Bart's Hospital in London and graduated with a medical degree in 1967. Perhaps Westminster residents should carry the equivalent of a donor card: "In the event of my hospitalisation, please do not let Fr. Davies anywhere near me". (hat tip to PZ Myers for the link )

Davies said, " Among the causes...

A few days ago I reported that Lost is on the final top 10 list for possible drama nominees, and now a couple of the show's actors have made the list for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. Here's the list:
There has been a lot of interest in the Catholic Truth Society (CTS) pamphlet on Exorcism written by Jeremy Davies. I wrote about this recently (Cf. Good pamphlet on exorcism ). Many of the stories have been of the type "Yoga makes you possessed" and have ignored the important spiritual advice given by Fr Davies but the internet provides people with the links to get the original text so I hope that...
“Lost” showrunner Carlton Cuse confirmed recently that Claire’s son Aaron is aging normally -- and that something like three years has transpired since the 100 days Jack, Kate, Hurley, Sayid and Sun spent on Dharma Island. Three years.ABC says:The face-off between the survivors and the freighter people continues, and the Oceanic Six find themselves closer to rescue. Guest starring are Jeremy Davies...
