The Ottawa Senators were back on the ice today, the morning after a narrow victory over the rival Maple Leafs. The win gives the Sens 21 points on the season, one point back of the 8th place Lightning. Daniel Alfredsson, Anton Volchenkov and Chris Neil were all absent from practice this morning. Ottawa was hoping to have Volchenkov back on the ice with the team today but have decided to wait at least...

The rivalry may not have the same intensity as years gone past but there is still a little something extra on the line when the Senators and Leafs get together. Judging by the poll posted a couple weeks back the hatred is still there for the provincial rivals so a win tonight would be big for a fan base that has been on edge as of late. I would hate to see the comment section around here should the...

The Senators were back on the ice this morning as they prepare to take on their provincial rivals tomorrow night. No changes to the Senators lines at this morning's skate meaning Ryan Shannon and Jesse Winchester will likely be the scratches tomorrow night. Michalek-Spezza-Alfredsson Foligno-Fisher-Kovalev Cheechoo-Regin-Neil Ruutu-Kelly-Donovan Elliott had a strong game against the Rangers but I would...

Ottawa has been on the wrong end of a some ugly loses this year and obviously there are a number of factors at play. Undisciplined play, inconsistent officiating, underachieving stars and suspect third period goaltending just to name a few. Some of these elements are out of the Senators hands but the underachieving stars is something that can be fixed. Don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of Cory Clouston...

The Ottawa Senators play their first road game in 11 days when they visit the Florida Panthers tonight on TSN 2. The Senators last road tilt came two Saturdays ago, when the Senators beat the division rival Habs in Montreal. The Senators will get a boost tonight with the return of Filip Kuba . Kuba has been out of the line up since the season opener and should help settle a struggling power play. Ottawa...

The Senators will look to return to their winning ways tonight when they host the Tampa Bay Lightning at Scotiabank Place. The Senators had their three game win streak halted at the hands of the defending champions on Monday night and will look to get back in the win column tonight starting at 7:30 PM on TSN . Looks like the Senators will have the same lines as Monday with Peter Regin again missing...

You hate to call it a must win this early in the season but after seeing the reaction of fans after an opening night loss, Id hate to think how people would react to a loss to the hated Leafs. The Leafs come into this one a hungry bunch after dropping their first two games so we should see some desperation from both teams tonight. Both teams are being coy about their starting goalies but I would expect...

The Senators picked up their first win of the preseason last night after a hat trick performance from Mike Fisher. The news wasn't all good for the Senators though as they found out they will be without forward Jesse Winchester for the next three weeks after a lower body injury. The injury to Winchester should open up a spot in the forward ranks for one of the younger guys in camp. The Senators also...

Breaking news, as the Harlem office of the NY State Liquor Authority was raided this morning as part of an ongoing corruption investigation. According to First Deputy General Kelly Donovan , "We believe employees are fast-tracking liquor licenses in exchange for gratuities , at the expense of legitimate applicants." That's no good. It seems that those who offered cash to the office employees...
