American actress Kelly Ripa (born October 2, 1970 in Stratford,
New Jersey) started her
professional career on the soap opera All
My Children in 1990. Playing a goth teenager, her character drew a large
following. She left All My Children in December 2002.
Since February 2001, she has served as the
co-host of Live with Regis and Kelly, alongside Regis Philbin.
In September 2003, Kelly Ripa was a co-star with Faith Ford on Hope & Faith.
Married to Mark
Consuelos, her All My Children co-star, in Las Vegas on May 1, 1996, Kelly and Mark have
3 children: Michael, Lola, and Joaquin.
In 1996, 1998 and 2000, Ripa won three Soap
Opera Digest Awards for her character, Hayley on All My Children and she has
been nominated 8 times for the Daytime Emmy Awards. She won a Daytime Emmy for
co-hosting the 2005 Walt Disney World Christmas Day Parade with Regis Philbin
and Ryan Seacrest in April 2006.
