How can a giant NES pad table be any cooler? Turn it into a real working controller which is exactly what Kyle Downes did with some free time. This coffee table/trunk has real working A, B, Start, Select, and D-pad functions that can be seen in action here. I sure wouldn't mind one of these… Thanks, Pianomeister66

Kyle Downes of Ultra Awesome blog made a giant NES controller coffee table/game storage unit. What's so neat about it is that the controller actually works! (Imagine hitting a 3.5 inch wide A and B buttons repeatedly, you can get wrist cramps from that. . .) Here's a video from Kyle detailing the construction of the unit:

This has got to be my favorite piece of furniture, ever. Not only does this coffee table look like a giant NES controller, it's actually fully functional! Lovingly constructed by Kyle Downes of Ultra Awesome, the table also offers ample storage for all of his other gaming systems...
