So how does one talk about NBC's new medical drama Mercy and make it seem... well, new? I'm not sure you can! The show seems to borrow pretty heavily from other "tough", big-hearted medical shows currently on the air. As lousy as this summer TV season has been on the broadcast networks, cable outlets have more than made up for it, especially Showtime's "Nurse Jackie," which has its first-season finale tonight at 10:30.
