The People’s Choice nominations were announced today. I was one of those people who voted for my favorites so this was neat to see if my choices made it. Twilight, House, Vampire Diaries, Three Rivers and Gossip Girl made it. But Zachary Levi didn’t make the list. I think that I nominated him for every [...]

I know it's one of the more pointless award shows of the year, but since it kinda, sorta but not really signals the beginning of award season nominations, I thought I'd post a rundown of the nominees announced for the 2009 People's Choice Awards. As you can guess from the title, the fans vote for this award show, this year casting more than 18 million votes. Check out the full listing of nominees after...

By the people, for the people and of the people. The People's Choice Awards will be handed out January 6, and you have the opportunity to decide who wins . While awards determined by flawed public voting systems may seem trite, it makes more sense than, say, the VMAs, which are handed out arbitrarily by MTV. Check out who's nominated (or better yet, if there's a single artist, program or film that...

Oh Neil Patrick Harris. How I love you. How everyone loves you! However. Not only was last night’s episode of How I Met Your Mother very upsetting (we can talk in the comments, fellow viewers) there was also a whole lot of “Barney eats! Barney gets fat! NPH puts on a fat suit!” humor. (Also [...]

It was only a matter of time before a Twitter page inspired a TV show. Mega meme Textsfromlastnight was optioned by Fox back in September, and now Twitter’s Shit my Dad Says is getting the same treatment from CBS. The brainchild of 29-year-old Justin Halpern (who recently moved back in with his parents), the feed is [...] Related posts: World’s Greatest Dad '> Exclusive: Bobcat Goldthwait...

Who needs critics? Who needs experts? Since the dawn of the internet and the democratization of entertainment, who really needs someone to tell them what is good and what is not good? These people, for starters.

Spoilers for last night's How I Met Your Mother coming up after the jump: "Daddy's home." I get the feeling that that was meant to be an applause line. At least that's how I read it from the laughter at the end of the episode, as a re-suited-up, re-slimmed, re-single Barney walked into [...]

So how are Barney (Neil Patrick Harris) and Robin (Cobie Smulders) faring as a couple on How I Met Your Mother? Well, if the upcoming Nov. 9 episode of the CBS comedy is any indication, maybe not so great. Barney, it seems, has packed on some pounds. “It’s a phenomenon that a lot of people can relate to, certainly more than a few people on our writing staff. It’s relationship gut,” says HIMYM exec

How I Met Your Mother is an Emmy Award winning American sitcom that premiered on CBS on September 19, 2005. The show was created by Craig Thomas and Carter Bays. As a framing device, the main character, Ted Mosby (Josh Radnor), in the year 2030 recounts to his son and daughter the events that led to his meeting their mother, which explains the title and allows for a narration in the past tense.
