Drive around the Circle City on any given day, and you’ll waste a lot of gas. But while you’re doing that, you’ll also see a wide variety of barbershops and beauty parlors, most with clever names like Snobs, Pout, Attitudes, Hemispheres and, the always appropriate for a good joke, Squirt and Louie.

Silhouette Romantic Suspense author Sharron McClellan sneaks over to The Pink Heart Society to talk about her favorite kind of Male On Monday -- The Geeky Hero-Then and Now. Geeks. Nerds. Trekkie. Or Techie. Whatever you call them, geeks are the new hotness. Now, I have always loved nerdy males. Smart men are a turn on and whoever said that sex was mostly in the head wasn’t lying. News today came down from SciFiWire that Smallville's Justice Society is filling out. Michael Shanks (Stargate SG-1, Burn Notice) has been cast in the part of Hawkman, the iconic flying character with a hawk-like headpiece (which I rather doubt he'll have in Smallville, since I doubt Shanks would humiliate himself like that and Smallville has been known for 're-envisioning' characters in the past)....

Filed under: OpEd , Stargate , Reality-Free I once again checked out Stargate Universe this week. Apparently, the first two episodes hooked me enough to watch this one, even though I'm still a little in the dark on the whole portal jumping / chevron stuff. So I'll let you veterans talk about all the inter-dimensional Stargate stuff, and will just point out a few things I liked about this episode,...

Okay, so I was sick this weekend. Maybe sicker than I realized, because it sounded like a good idea to get out my series 1 DVDs of Robin Hood and listen to commentaries. It wasn’t. Remember when I talked about creator Dominic Minghella insisting Marian was ... READ MORE

For those readers who are too young to remember "MacGyver," or those readers who are old enough to remember but don't because they never watched it, "MacGyver" was a TV show from 1985 to 1992 starring Richard Dean Anderson. He played Angus MacGyver, who had some job with a fictional organization called the Phoenix Foundation. I was never that clear about exactly what the Phoenix...

You’ve been stealing glances at each other the whole night. All you see is that hot little number with the shiny red dress, everything else is black and white. She finishes her drink, and sashays off to the terrace, the light bouncing off her hips as they sway. You adjust your tie and follow her.…
