Diane Kruger has been cast as Bridget Von Hammersmark, the role that had been pegged for Nastassja Kinski, in Quentin Tarantino's "Inglorious Bastards." The Weinstein Co./Universal co-production starts shooting Oct. 13 in Germany, with the plan to debut at the Festival de Cannes in May. The Weinstein Co. and Universal are co-financing and co-presenting the film.

Isabel Coixet's Elegy (92 screens) is a "disease-of-the-week" movie. I hate "disease-of-the-week" movies, but I really liked Elegy .
