Tarantino gets his French girl

Diane Kruger has been cast as Bridget Von Hammersmark, the role that had been pegged for Nastassja Kinski, in Quentin Tarantino's "Inglorious Bastards." The Weinstein Co./Universal co-production starts shooting Oct. 13 in Germany, with the plan to debut at the Festival de Cannes in May. The Weinstein Co. and Universal are co-financing and co-presenting the film.
