Peter Som has just resigned from his position as the creative director of Bill Blass. The company, which has been under financial turmoil, made a decision to forgo participating in Fashion Week in September. This was reportedly the last straw that lead Som, who has only been with the company for one year, to leave the company. Representatives for Bill Blass and Som did not return calls for comment....

Today we headed out of Shiny Towers and into the sunshine to take a look at Net-a-Porter's Cruise collections (which won't hit the virtual racks for months, sadly). Designer press days are my idea of heaven - the only time I get to manhandle 3.1 Phillip Lim, Marc Jacobs and Jonathan Saunders without shop assistants hovering over me like I'm going to steal something....
