They say that Bill Blass as a company is on life support. They say that with the recent departure of Peter Som things are only going to get worse. The parent company is quickly running out of cash. They say all of these things and some wonder if even mentioning Bill Blass is worth it. [...]

Peter Som has just resigned from his position as the creative director of Bill Blass. The company, which has been under financial turmoil, made a decision to forgo participating in Fashion Week in September. This was reportedly the last straw that lead Som, who has only been with the company for one year, to leave the company. Representatives for Bill Blass and Som did not return calls for comment....

Marc Jacobs The only word that comes to mind when I saw the Marc Jacobs collection was, interesting....... I don't quite know what to make of it. Most of the collection consisted of oversized bags of cloth that he's trying to pass off as coats (above). Ok that was a bit harsh. Admittedly, if you look closely there are some designs and thoughts put into the coats (esp the collar of the white coat: left)....
