A great thing about internships at fashion PR firms is that they can often lead to a second internship for one of the great designers they rep. That's what keeps happening over at the Krupp Group , hence their need for a new crop. Many of their alums have gone on to work for Philip Crangi , Lela Rose, Rachel Comey and Joy Gryson. Sounds like a great perk to us! The lovely publicists are looking for...

Jason Wu Spring 2010 Fashion Week Month is over, or almost over, and I've only just peeked at the London, Milan and Paris collections. The designers showing in those cities are still doing edgier looks, which, frankly, look a little five minutes ago to me. Fashionistas been parading around in origami-ed, asymetrical, sheer, crotch-revealing creations for several years now, and it's time for teh pretty...

A Too Precious to Wear fan in the Lela Rose S/S 2010 goody bags at New York Fashion Week Thanks to PETA’s in-your-face tactics, sometimes we forget about the how fashion can impact on the environment, but the likes of Nicole Miller, Yigal Azrouel and Hayden-Harnett haven’t. Along with a growing group of fashion designers, they have [...] -- This post originally appeared on: SASSYBELLA.com...

“Supermodel, work it girl…” So another Fashion Week in New York as come and gone. The frenzied fashionistas have returned home and Bryant Park is calm and serene once again. As I think back to some of the shows I attended last week, I can’t help but think about how the Spring/Summer 2010 runways can be translated to work, eat, and play life in Boston. Below are some ideas for...

Photo Credit: NYMag.comLong Cardigans at Lela Rose, Alexander Wang, and Michael Kors. Style tip? Stock up on long cardigans. They’re great for layering under jackets for Fall and Winter, and they’re just as versatile for Spring. Wear a long cardigan over your minidress or blouse/skirt combo (as at Lela Rose), skinny belt optional. Or use your [...]

As fashion week wraps up, I already have a long shopping list of what I must find once Spring clothes hit the shelves. While I'm aware that this is months away, the collections this year were so beautiful that I'm going to have to start saving up in order to stock my closet with the affordable versions of the designs I saw this week.

Not to long ago I was bemoaning the look of the Twenty-Zeros , which I summed up in a single word: ugly. And then WHAT does the American Fashion Industry do? It beats me over the head with the pretty stick during New York Fashion Week. My only complaint now (and you knew there had to be a complaint, didn't you') is that I've downloaded a whole mess of pretty and I don't really know how to divide it...

NEW YORK — Designers at New York Fashion Week, faced with a grim national mood, looked for a solution far, far away. If most people are left with "staycations" these days, at least they can take a visual...

By my man, for the man. And the first one in the family to get photographed in the tents for Mercedes Benz Fashion Week? My husband. Yes, last Sunday he went to the 10am Lela Rose show with me and wore his skull tweed coat. The coat was found on the street in DC with a bag of ties, and he promptly painted them all. Update: This post of WendyB's today must be linked, as fabulous skulls should be united...
