High on fashion, fun, glamour and glitz, that's how I would like to sum up the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. The mercury levels were rising like never before at the historic Raleigh Hotel and no points for guessing why. Its definitely getting hot in there when fifteen world renowned swimwear designers come under one roof for one of the hottest events. These include big wigs like Red Carter, Poko Pano,...

--By Jules Newmark Celebutantes and what seems like the world's riches are strutting in, waif-like girls are trouncing around in barely anything due to the incredibly muggy 85-degree evening and flash bulbs are reflecting off the roof of the big tent. Not only are these few precious weeks international, they are fashion icons of the year and definitely a must-have for all aspiring MKs and

Tibi always reminded us of the dark side of Lily Pulitzer, so it's sort of great that they've signed on to open Miami Fashion Week next month. The line designed by Amy Smilovic has a Skipper vibe to Tory Burch's Barbie, and manages to get some playful prints and shapes into the universe without looking too cutesy or too cool. Actually, they could get a little more cool if they wanted, but anyway....

We're not sure if it was the allure of the open bar, the proximity to the tents at Fashion Week or the fact that the Gucci party effectively shut out any non-celebs, but last night, every self-styled fashionista, editorial intern and PR girl was trying to talk her way into the Tibi and Women's Wear Daily after party. Even those with invitations got the velvet rope run-around out front of The Bryant...

These are the Evian Princesses. At least that's what we call them. They and their ilk serve the indispensable purpose of handing out little bottles of Evian water inside the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week tents. Seriously, we would be lost without...

Instead of doing homework like I should be doing, I just spent several hours watching fashion shows. I'm loving... lots. Proenza Schouler and Rag & Bone showed gorgeous sequin details in the form of skirt trims, jacket cuffs, and swirly patterns. Rag & Bone and Tibi showed great thigh-high socks layered with textured tights. Always with heels, usually with peep-toes. Tibi and Tracey Reese showed cozy...

Tibi jolted me awake in the AM with a sassy safari-inspired collection fit for both city and suburban girls. The overall silhouette was slim, which is always figure flattering, and prints called "congo" and "kalahari" supplied the prefect amount of eye candy. A large grass green and min green gingham print, shown (hi Flavia!), was sweet and broke up the surefire safari fits. Some peasant tops, tattooed...
