Paris Fashion Week usually gives rise to an emerging runway star, but this season was overrun with the tried-and-true favorites. While some newbies managed to chalk up some opening and closing slots, the old guard showed up in force. Eva Herzigova , Natalia Vodianova , and Daria Werbowy all made special appearances when they opened and closed Hermès , Stella McCartney , and Balmain , respectively....

From left, Comme des Garcons, Givenchy, and Viktor & Rolf. 'Twas a big weekend for fashion in Paris. Viktor & Rolf showed some dresses that have Lady Gaga's name all over them. Givenchy did amazing things with prints and leggings mixed in with some very feminine ruffly dresses. Speaking of ruffles, Stella McCartney's were quite large. See all those and more in the latest runway slideshows...

While Nicolas Ghesquiere of Balenciaga has returned to his roots, some avant-garde designers are cutting back amid their financial challenges. They want to SURVIVE. Yohji Yamamoto is perhaps the best example. While the clothes are poetic as usual, the pieces are extremely commercial. It’s beautiful, but definitely uninspired. I later heard that Yohji has incurred some financial challenges, which...

SPring 2010 looks by Mark Fast (left) and PPQ. British Elle 's website heralds London Fashion Week for embracing diversity on the runways this season — and not just in terms of race. PPQ showed its spring 2010 collection on a cast of entirely black models; Mark Fast cast a whopping three "average size" models, one of whom even opened his 30-look show; and the Sykes collection included...

Let's go off in a slightly different direction, shall we? Specifically, let's talk about Rad Hourani. WWD has the details: " A NEW SECOND: There’s a new name to add to the list of young designers who have introduced a secondary line: Rad Hourani . The move, he explained, wasn’t dictated so much by the economy as by his desire to expand his own wardrobe beyond statement pieces. “I...

Finally my photos from Antwerp! Sorry for there being so many, I fell in love with the city, it was so so beautiful! We went to Ghent too which was also incredible, so sorry for the heavy architecture/art photos, but hey, its culture! I definitely want to go and do an internship in Antwerp next year, the fashion and the way they view fashion there is out of this world! And everyone speaks English of...
