No sooner had I posted that last picture of Amanda Lear and Mr Pearl, than I went to Billy Beyond's blog , where HE had just posted this vintage pic of Madonna, wearing a signature Mr Pearl creation! Fabulous, fabulous, fabulous. Oh yeah, and Madonna looks good, too. You know, my whole goal in life is to be rich enough to have a wardrobe full of Mr Pearls. That's ALL I ever want to wear.

Less than a month ago I reviewed Amanda Lear's "Brief Encounters" album and clearly riled some fans (if the comments were any indication) by suggesting that it wasn't all that good. In retrospect, I think I was actually quite restrained - particularly when you compare it to the amazing "Brand New Love Affair".
