A year or so before their debut album came out, the B-52's made this short film for Hot Lava ... a different sound than the album version to come, and the video (with Fred Schneider kind of looking like Marcel Marceau) has an of-that-moment feel that an art director nowadays would be at pains to recreate.

Portishead, GNR, MBV, yadda yadda—the comeback no one much talks about from this year was actually one of the better ones: The B-52's Funplex , which adapted the group's classic sound to modern ends with very little strain. My favorite track, "Eyes Wide Open," even resembled high-end DFA, no small thing. But the album's relatively quiet aftermath might be due to Fred Schneider completely...

On November 1st 2008 The B-52's performed what can only be described as a phenomenal show at NYC's Hammerstein Ballroom. At this show the worlds greatest party band performed many of their greatest hits. One of the stand out performances was by Cindy Wilson singing her hit with The B-52's ... Give Me Back My Man.
