That means there will be hundreds, or more likely thousands, of birds and other small animals killed by cats in their community over the next year. Alley Cat Allies essentially has a rigid bottom line--no euthanized stray cats....

An Iowa town, overrun with stray cats, issued a bounty of $5 per non-collared cat captured and brought to an animal shelter. The plan would be to euthanize any cat not claimed. An uproar by animal rights activists made them reconsider the plan.
