Fun would have been watching the reactions of these mercenaries of virtue had someone booked Mojo Nixon to perform the bawdiest ever rendition of "Tie My Pecker to My Leg."

For hitters, Nationals Park is more fair - The Wash. Times Long-Range Plans May Carry Into the Summer - The Post One month into its inaugural season, Nationals Park is playing fair for hitters and pitchers, a drastic change from RFK Stadium. The gaps favor home runs more than down the lines too. In all, it seems to be a slight pitchers park. Strong-Arm Tactics - The Post After many years of neglect,...

Weekend Film Agenda April 25

Despite my complete agreement with Mojo Nixon and Skid Roper that Michael J. Fox is, indeed, “the anti-Elvis”, I’ve always had a soft spot for the actor. There’s just something about him that I find appealing. Thus, I suppose it's kind of weird that I’m just about the only person I know who doesn't like [...]

We asked for Mojo Nixon, they said he don’t work here*

It’s getting harder and harder to come up with middle names for Barack Mojo Nixon Obama. And no one even comments on them anymore. Is teh funny gone? * first person to get the reference gets the satisfying feeling that comes with being the first person to get the reference.

[Weird] Eleven interesting uses of eggs in advertising

The list is about commercial advertising only. When you say "eggs" and "advertising" to me the one that comes to mind is the "this is your brain" anti-drug propaganda from the 1980s. And Mojo Nixon's song "Don Henley Must Die" which opens with a parody of the ad.

Cat People Win, Birds Lose

This week a property management company in Virginia caved into pressure from Alley Cat Allies, and will allow over 200 feral cats to remain on their property ( story here ). Alley Cat Allies essentially has a rigid bottom line--no euthanized stray cats....

The Stray Cats were formed in 1979 by guitarist/vocalist Brian Setzer with school friends [...]
