Last week, it was announced that Arcade Fire had licensed "Wake Up" for use in NFL ads in order to raise money for Haiti. So here is that ad, which is actually pretty tasteful. Though, then again, it's probably impossible to make an ad that doesn't seem disproportionately cooler thanks to "Wake Up" being played in the background. I mean, me walking to get my mail in my slippers...

I'm not really sure there is another television event where the commercials get more hype than the actual main attraction, save for the Super Bowl of course. Although I feel like the humorous and memorable commercials aren't as frequent as they used to be, there are always a few clever surprises each year. Most knew Arcade Fire licensed "Wake Up" to the NFL, and boy-oh-boy did they ever overuse...
