Part of our task in updating the Festival Outlook is scouring the many message boards ( Coachella , Inforoo , and Lolla !) and searching for links or any hearsay that might give credence to a lineup confirmation or any rumor that’s out there. But we never really get an opportunity to share our predictions for who will be playing and where. We figured we’d take a moment to do that now and...
13 November 2009 Liisankatu "I'm wearing my grandfather's old dress shirt, a Melodica shirt, Dr. Martens and second hand. I like oversized jeans jackets, my grandfather's flannel shirts and a way too short shorts and skirts. The singer Mike Patton from Faith No More had a great style in the beginning of the 90's."

ZU / DR SLAGGLEBERRY / DRUNKENSTEIN, 4TH OCTOBER 2009, OXFORD WHEATSHEAF Tiresomely convoluted songs? Cursory nods to Faith No More overshadowed by gothy bluster and Chili Peppers style slap bass? A theatrical frontman who looks like the Bee Gees' Robin Gibb, who has a distressing penchant for a maniacal laugh that Dr Evil would think too contrived, and who reads some of his lyrics from crib sheets,...
In 1913, Italian painter and composer Luigi Russolo created a new type of musical instruments he dubbed the "Intonarumori", or "noise intoners". The sounds produced by these devices were definitely unusual for his era and you'd be hard pressed to find anything similar to it today. An explanation of intonarumori construction via Wikipedia - Although there were several varieties...

Usually, when touring musical acts make their way to Israel, they rise to the occasion and put on a stellar show. Just look at Paul McCartney, Faith No More, Leonard Cohen – despite the lofty price tags, they delivered with consumately professional concerts that left audiences thrilled. But there’s another kind of concert thrill – [...]

I cannot wait to see Faith No More on this tour and after seeing this performance of "Caffeine", I am getting antsy. They performed this at the Pepsi Music Festival 11/1/2010 in Buenos Aires, Argentina and it is the band at their finest. They are supposed to be announcing a slew of U.S. tour dates here soon according to their Twitter. When I get wind of these dates I will post them here....

Okay, this will be a doozey of a post so I'm gonna get try to the pictures first and then write later. Mike Patton (man, myth, legend) has so many projects and bands and whatnot that it's actually easier to lump them all into one "Inspiration" - of course, I had already done Faith No More and Mr. Bungle but this fashion shoot runs the gamut from Lovage to Tomahawk to whatever Italian opera...
