In this attitude-drenched shot by photog Noel Vasquez (Getty Images North America), Corey Parks, the defiant, 6-foot-3-inch bassist/vocalist of Die Hunns—formerly of notorious Nashville Pussy (Let Them Eat Pussy, 1998)—lets a low note ring at the Roxy, Los Angeles, May 15, 2008. addthis_url = 'http%3A%2F%2Fharryallen.info%2F%3Fp%3D2036'; addthis_title = 'Bad+As+She+Wanna+Be.'; [...]

I generally don’t exert much energy on cover bands, but when the roster’s as dynamic as Chelsea Girls, I almost feel obligated. I haven’t seen a setlist at this point, but the band promises to play the greatest songs ever written. The band also promises a non-stop parade of famous friends and new celebrity fans [...]

In the realm of big, loud, brainless, awesome, sleazy rock ‘n’ roll, few bands rock like Nashville Pussy. They’re touring Europe again from January to April. I’m hitting the London show on Saturday 14 April, and you should too. Unless you think you can’t handle it. Photo from jeje62 via Creative Commons license Posted in gig, music Tagged: [...]

A Decapitated Nashville Pussy Onsluaght in Society1. Confused? Don't worry it just my latest DVD music round-up. I have watched the pile of DVDs rise to a point where I had to weigh in and reduce it a bit. DVDs are something that people seem to think about as it nears Christmas. One of those things that is something more than “just” a CD. For the most part, this lot gives good value for money with...

NASHVILLE PUSSY What can I say? Nuthin. Oh well- yes I can. Last year we walked in late to their opening set at that Horton Heat show. We vowed then & there that we'd see 'em again. Parade magazine will never feature them. Wayne Cochran is your mother compared to them. Wait, Stiv Bators is your mother compared to them. They will never be lying on their death beds asking themselves "What was that all...

Victoria: It’s been said that the devil has all the best tunes, but that’s not the case anymore, since a lil’ ol’ band from Georgia found a way to pick the lock on that storehouse of demonic sonics and make off with some of its most incendiary contents.

Revolver Magazine’s October issue had a segment called “Graphic Violence“. It featured album covers that were controversial due to graphic images of evil, death, sex, etc. They had some really good picks of some great albums. A few included are Pantera’s original concept for Far Beyond Driven, Nashville Pussy’s Let Them Eat Pussy album, [...]

Logged my 600th geocache this bright May morning, took a picture of a treehouse ruin near the cache, then drove home listening to the Nashville Pussy. After lunch, me and the Rundkvist ladies took part in the annual street cleaning & planting day. I headed the cleaning of two sandboxes, cleared shrubbery that was engulfing one of the boxes and collected trash in the parking lot and front door bays....
