New Site for Nonesuch

We’re all fans of Nonesuch Records, the label of Wilco, The Magnetic Fields, The Buena Vista Social Club — David Byrne! Their site got a recent overhaul by Sisu and branding partner Axiom Design communications, where improvements like new Flash driven media, a “Thinkmap” of roster artists (more Flash gymnastics), and repositioned feedback boards were [...]

Nonesuch Records

I like this new site for the American record label Nonesuch Nice to look at, but also very logically structured it lets yu easily see their artists, buy music, and even see when people are on tour. Nicely done, and you can read more about it here, on the site of the design agency, Sisu . This soundtrack for The Wire keeps calling out for me, but I'm resisting for the time being...

Work and Wilco

Sky Blue Sky & Blue Sky Blue , by Wilco, Nonesuch Records, 2007 My very first experience with Wilco was one late fall day when I found myself home all alone. Having nothing very pressing to do, I got high and went out to rake leaves. An enormous soggy carpet covered our front and back yards; the wind was blowing hard enough to make the chore even more tedious; and occasional rain sprinkled the scene....

LINK /// Nonesuch Records

Nonesuch Records have just launched a new site, and very good it is too – really love the clarity of information (that is so often missed on record label sites). While I’m at it, take a look at the new Domino Records site – the design is maybe not quite as nice, but the use of colour is lovely and I particularly like the user controlled ‘status’ at the top. •

Featured Artist: The Black Keys

This week, The Black Keys release their new album Attack & Release , and I'm loving this album. It's just as good as their previous two blues-rock LPs; the only complaint I'd have, I guess, is that it doesn't differ that much (in my opinion), but I guess why fix what isn't broken? This album was produced by Danger Mouse, and so is a bit "cleaner" than the others, but still retains that essential Black...
