I almost forgot ... Pickle contributed some artwork to the art show at Anime Fest for his anime club. The concept was that any proceeds would go toward the anime club's funds for snacks, entertainment, etc. He submitted two pieces. I bought one for $10 in a buy it now feature. The other piece had a few bids on it, so I didn't try to buy it. Pickle found out tonight that the piece sold for $30 at auction!...

In the main, sellers were very quickly able to identify their listing strategy for the imminent arrival of the Christmas selling season. But a week later, eBay UK's...

There’s a cheap listing day for Thursday this week, Auctions and Buy it Now listings will have insertion fees lowered to just 5p. Rather bizarrely the cheap listing day specifically excludes multiple item listings, although it runs during the multiple item promotion currently running until 23rd September. Having encouraged sellers to place their inventory on a single [...]

There's been a lot of eBay bashing (eBashing, if you will), with most of it focused on a new management team and it's shift away from what's made the site - auctions. In the shift to fixed, buy-it-now listings, and a rise in selling costs, I've only just noticed that I was viewing the site in a new "search experience". I only realised, as one of the site's best features - the RSS feeds - was not included....
