Kevin McKidd, one of my favorite actors (though it’s for Rome and Journeyman as opposed to Grey’s Anatomy, which we don’t watch), took his family to Hawaii this week for a vacation. The Scottish actor and his wife Jane Parker enjoyed the beaches and waves with their two kids Iona (7) and Joseph (9) during their November holiday. Kevin and Jane have been married since July 1999. And...

The game-to-film adaptation train rolls on. Lots of passengers this week too. Yesterday, HBO's "Rome" star Kevin McKidd said that discussions are underway for a "Call of Duty" movie, unsurprising given the massive success of the just-released "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2." And earlier today we brought you updates from "Twilight" producer Wyck Godfrey, who...

Kevin McKidd deserves to be a bigger star than he is. The Rome and Journeyman star has been on Grey's Anatomy for the past year or so, but even that's not enough to get me watching Grey's again. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare players will know him as the voice of Captain "Soap" MacTavish, and it's that hook into the franchise that makes us pause a bit when he starts talking about a Call of...

The film's working title is Bon Dea and is reportedly now in development with Bruno Heller writing the screenplay. The film is scheduled to begin shooting in the summer of 2010 for a 2011 release. Kevin McKidd's character, Vorenus is being written into the new script, even though he was on his deathbed at the end of the show's final season. Source Source

Some good news for you Modern Warfare warriors out there, as it looks like some real talent are lending their voices to the upcoming Modern Warfare 2. Glenn Morshower from "TransFormers: Revenge of the Fallen," Turns out, it was the aptly-named General Morshower. Performing duties also go to Keith David ("They Live" and "The Thing," plus Halo 3, Mass Effect, and plenty...

In many ways Marvel's answer to DC's Batman, The Punisher also concerns someone who becomes a vigilante after his family are slaughtered by criminals, although there's an obvious discrepancy in finances available to working class cop Frank Castle ( Ray Stevenson ) and affluent playboy Bruce Wayne. Plus, Frank's less theatrical when it comes to meting out violent justice; his body-armour sans any cape...

Mad Men OK - I'm late to the game when it comes to AMC's Mad Men but I'm hooked. What great television this show is! I'm halfway through season 2 and I'm feeling about this series the way I did for HBO's Deadwood , Rome and The Wire . To be in that company says a lot about the quality of the show. I like to imagine that the show was inspired by Hitchcock's North by Northwest meaning that Don Draper...
