Sanctuary for Kids aims to raise money “to provide sanctuary for children who do not live with the right of safety in their lives.” The organization was founded by Tapping, along with Sanctuary creator (and former Stargate SG-1 writer) Damian Kindler and Jill...

Well, if you're East of the Rockies, you can already tell me how the remake of the series "V" is. If not, check it out with me. ABC 8PM PT. I received this article link from Christopher Farley, editor of the culture blog for the Wall Street Journal. Firefly fans will want to take note. Morena Baccarin was Anara on Firefly and the movie Serenity. She was also a nemesis on Stargate SG1. I also...

There's been a lot of buzz about what's new on Smallville lately, ever since three members of the Justice Society have been cast. Season nine has been hailed positively by fans so far, especially since we're seeing more and more comic book characters come to life. First on our list today is Hawkman, and IGN TV reports that the role has been given to Stargate SG-1 actor Michael Shanks. He already has...

As I've mentioned recently there will be a Smallville season 9 episode written by comic writer Geoff Johns which will feature 3 members of the DC Comics Justice Society. Unfortunately there will be no appearance by Power Girl (far too complicated to explain her existence in the show if you know her history in the comics, plus they'll probably never be able to find an actress with Power Girl's famous...

I haven't written about Stargate Universe (hereafter SGU) because, as much as I intended to post a review of its pilot, I couldn't summon the will to put fingers to keyboard. There were many reasons for this, but I've stuck with the show for the three weeks following its debut on Sky1, and I'm sorry to say I'm still not enjoying it. The best I can do is summarize my 10 biggest complaints: 1. The concept...

Ultimate geek girl? Could be! I know her from Jake 2.0 (Spiderman again, to the cynical). Yes, I watched it. Keegan was perhaps the reason I did, always there for him while he chased every other girl he met, he was obviously an idiot, even with his spider powers, I mean nano-bots. Rivalled only by Laura Harris in the whole show (one episode) she was always overlooked, despite his Spidey-sense. He wasn't...

A couple of casting announcements have been made for the upcoming Justice Society episode of Smallville. Michael Shanks, of Stargate fame, has been cast as Hawkman, while Brent Stait of Stargate SG-1: Children of the Gods will be donning the golden helmet of Doctor Fate. Smallville has been pretty notorious for changing up the powers/look [...]

News today came down from SciFiWire that Smallville's Justice Society is filling out. Michael Shanks (Stargate SG-1, Burn Notice) has been cast in the part of Hawkman, the iconic flying character with a hawk-like headpiece (which I rather doubt he'll have in Smallville, since I doubt Shanks would humiliate himself like that and Smallville has been known for 're-envisioning' characters in the past)....

I was watching Stargate SG1 the other day (8 seasons up on Hulu now), and I came away loving the fact that the first two Stargate series were based on the trek storytelling method. There’s probably another word for this, but I don’t know what it is. But it’s this self-contained episodic storytelling [...]

Smallville - Justice Society Casting Spoilers That’s right folks as we predicted last week, Hawkman and Doctor Fate will join the previously announced Stargirl in episode 12 of Season of Nine. IGN was also lucky enough to give us just who exactly would be playing this two characters, and I think the casting is spot on. Hawkman will be played by Michael Swanks of Stargate SG-1 fame, while Doctor...

Secondly, you need to be cautious with the so-called expense-free downloading websites. Although the masses tend to find the free files very attractive, there are various downsides to this. Some of the problems include the small file sizes and unimpressive picture quality for the videos.
