We had our fall event at the salon today, and a woman came in to approach my boss about doing some eyebrow threading and other services that we don't currently offer. She picked the wrong day and time to come in (and yes, she came in knowing that we were having an event). My boss spoke with her for a few minutes and then finally dragged herself away, at which time the woman gave her some business cards....

"Satellite" was designed by Professor Stefan Heiliger. This leather recliner has a "space like" appeal to it resembling the seating featured in the cartoon movie, the Jetsons. Professor Heileger stresses a triangular shape for the backrest that readily becomes visible...

Ready to make your escape in 2012 if the Mayan calendar holds true about all the natural disasters that year? Well the Galactic Suite will be ready to take your reservation to their hotel in space. That’s if you got the cash that is. Back in 2007 the Barcelona based architects claimed they would be ready in 2012 but they were all poo poohed and ...

I remember being a young kid back in the 1970's watching The Jetson's on TV. I remember talking in school, that we would have flying cars that would travel like the Jetsons did in the 21st Century. The year 2000 would change transportation as we then knew it. Well did it change? I guess planes are bigger and faster (sans Concord), but cars are still on the ground. I surely a bit disappointed, especially...

That could happen as soon as 2012, if someone lights a fire under those Italians - and you have $4.4 million! No one said moving up like the Jeffersons Jetsons wouldn't be costly! A Barcelona-based architect company has begun production on the The Galactic Suite Space Resort, a multi-billion dollar hotel that will orbit the Earth. Included [...]

There's no real surprise here, or rather there's some amount of relief, that Robert Rodriguez has walked away from the proposed production of The Jestsons, that futuristic version of The Flintstones. Not only that but the word was that Jim Carrey was being looked at to star in the film, and even he turned it down, a man who can make almost as bad film choices as Nicolas Cage...I said almost....Visit...

By: John Gholson This movie should've happened fifteen years ago, and it should've starred Tim Allen. It didn't, so here we are in 2009 talking about whether or not a live-action movie based on Hanna-Barbera's animated "futuristic" sitcom The Jetsons will ever see the light of day. Pajiba says yes, and they say that Peter Segal ( Get Smart , Tommy Boy ) is the director currently circling...

So that rumor about Peter Segal directing The Jetsons might not be entirely true or maybe it's just delayed? THR announced today that Warner Bros has picked up an "untitled comedy spec" written by Josh Cagan (Bandslam) and Greg Coolidge (Employee of the Month) originally titled Dirty Old Men, with Peter Segal eyeing to direct and Morgan Freeman attached to star. The story revolves around...

It was just as the creators of “The Jetsons” envisioned. In 2002, Helen Greiner invented the Roomba, a hands-off device that vacuums people's homes. While it can have the occasional glitch – namely, getting stuck under the couch or something – it is an ingenious invention that has become quite popular. Interestingly enough, some people have taken this technology to new levels...

Director Peter Segal is making news today from a few different places. Apparently, his directorial slate -- which still includes the long-gestating superhero flick Shazam! -- could be getting very busy in the near future.

"A controversial British antigravity device is to be investigated by the government's National Space Centre, according to reports. If the technology really works, it would be able to counteract the force of gravity using only electrical power, permitting the easy building of Jetsons-style flying cars or hoverships and hugely simplifying space travel." http://www.theregister.co.uk/2009/10/29/emdrive_antigrav_bnsc/...

It only takes about five months for a project to completely fall apart. Back in June we reported that Robert Rodriguez was aiming to shoot his live-action Jetsons movie sometime next year. Rodriguez has a lot on his plate and is obviously still producing both Machete (which is in post-production) and Predators (which is currently shooting), but most of his projects have fallen apart, including his...
