Hillary: We Really Don't Care

In my role of television Pundit-Wannabe, I joined the likes of Tim Russert and many others within the last weeks in reporting that we thought the Democratic nomination contest was over (my particularly clever words were "It's over. It's over"). We were stating the obvious: Barack Obama appeared to have beaten Hillary Clinton. There's an important [...]

Jim Webb Isn't “That” Interested In VP

Not too long ago, I outlined the pluses and minuses of a Webb VP nod. Today, Tim Russert asked the senator on Meet The Press… It's not a no, and it's a common response when asked about such things. What do you think?

Huckabee: I thought McCain's ‘bomb Iran’ song ‘was funny.’

On NBC's “Meet the Press” today, host Tim Russert played a clip from Friday of former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee joking about Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL) ducking after seeing a gunman. Huckabee apologized for saying what he called “a dumb, off the cuff remark,” and pointed to similar “dumb” comments from other politicians: It won't be [...]

McAuliffe's Bottle of Apology

Clinton supporter Terry McAuliffe appeared last Sunday on Meet the Press, and as he spun the tale of Sen. Hillary Clinton 's future in the Democratic race, he let a major error slip — describing anchor Tim Russert 's father as, "in heaven right now, Tim, probably having a scotch." It turns out "Big Russ," is very much alive — Russert followed up McAuliffe's answer, saying, "Big Russ...

Return of the prodigal daughter

While I was thrilled by all of my Mother’s Day presents - not one but TWO! pairs of Amy Bengtson earrings, presented by CJ after I awoke at 9am to a cappucino, a slice of bacon, and my boyfriend Tim Russert on the tube - the greatest of them all was Tacy's safe arrival home [...]

I was watching MSNBC tonight,

and was disturbed by a comment made by Tim Russert. I wonder if anyone else heard it and interpreted it similarly. I can't find video of it, and I can't quote it exactly, but he was talking about the superdelegates, the Democratic Convention in Denver, and what would happen if Obama won the popular vote, and indeed, the majority of the pledged mere mortal delegates, and the super-delegates...

The polls in West Virginia have just closed and NBC quickly projected that Democratic Senator Hillary Clinton will win today's West Virginia Democratic primary by a big margin.
