Gran Turismo 5 has been delayed many times, indicating that the developer wants to make a perfect game, which is good (unless your game is called Duke Nukem Forever). GT5 has a firm release date for March 2010, but it appears that the game could’ve been released earlier, and it’s held back until March for [...]

It’s been five years since the last true installment in the Gran Turismo franchise was released, but it seems overseas markets will have to wait a bit longer before jumping into their next “real driving simulator” experience. We met with Gran Turismo creator and godfather Kazunori Yamauchi at SEMA and asked him the usual phalanx of questions--most importantly, when the heck is the game coming out? We're dying here, man, dying!!!!! When will you release GT5? Yamauchi: We will release it in March in Japan but for other regions, it has not been decided yet. What's holding it up? That's more depending on SCEA (Sony Computer...

While talking to the Xbox owners in St David's, my fears were proved right. Most people who own an Xbox have only ever played two games. Halo 3 and Gears of War 2. "You don't have Halo" is not even a real reason for owning the console. Halo is and will always be an over-rated, average shooter. So when I ask the Xbots (that's what they are called) what other exclusives they have I have only...

After being the brunt of much of Turn 10’s marketing campaign in the lead up to Forza 3’s XBOX 360 release, Gran Turismo 5 head-honcho Kazunori Yamauchi has said that Forza doesn’t stack up next to GT in the simulation stakes. “Some base components of the game are very different from Gran Turismo,” he said. “It’s [...]

GTAIV, Too Human, Shenmue still pricier. Polyphony Digital chief Kazunori Yamauchi has revealed that Gran Turismo 5 cost a meaty $60 million to make. "There are other games that cost more," Yamauchi told AutoWeek. "Considering the size and scale of the game, I think it's probably a fairly small amount." Presumably a large portion of those funds were spent on developing the PlayStation...

We have come a long way since the likes of Mario, Luigi and Pac-Man, (not that we do not still harbor adoration for them) case in point being Gran Turismo 5. This game features cars so realistic, they seem to be on television. Chosen to star among others in the new version when it hits stores in a few months? The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG.
