Westpac says net income slips, cuts dividend

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Westpac Banking Corp. said net income for the six months ended March 31 came in at A$2.175 billion, down slightly from a year earlier, when the Australian bank made A$2.202 billion.
