He brought me on all these great business trips all summer long yet I am unable to write that his sweetness and our newfound togetherness was the highlight of my summer. You see, while I was in Inverness, I finally had a chance to meet the amazing Aurenna in person. ‘Ren, as she would tell you, trumps everything! My second Internet meet-up of the summer (I’ll...

*************** Books are rated on a scale of 1 to 10 *************** The Clan of the Cave Bear by Jean M. Auel I loved this book. It took me over a month to read because I was so engrossed in every single word. I loved the story, I loved the characters and I definitely love that it's a series. I can't wait to see the movie even though I have heard it is not so spectacular. I gave this book 9 stars...

Mailbox Monday - September 28

Mailbox Monday is hosted by Marcia at The Printed Page . It took me some extra time to get this post together because I made a trip to the local Friends of the Library book sale and came back with three bags of books. My choices included a few impulse buys, so I would love to get your feedback about which books should be at the top of the list to read, or if there are any that you have read and didn't...

Cavegirl Art 12: Cartoon Cavegirl

This cartoon was by regular Playboy cartoonist Dink (Leo) Siegel (1910-2003) and appeared in the November 1964 issue. Oddly, it's quite hard to find any information about him on the net other than that he was born in Birmingham, Alabama. He worked for many other magazines as well as Playboy (for whom he contributed for over 25 years) including Good Houskeeping, Life, Cosmopolitan and the Saturday Evening...

Here are a few of my favorite characters in literature, and why: Ayla from...
