There are two aspects to abortion  moral and economic and the Medical Termination of Pregnancy Act of 1972 presumably attempts to address both cases. In Mehta's case the Bombay High Court has done right by affirming the sanctity of life.

No one wants their child to be born with physical incapabilities and abnormalities, so should the Medical Termination of Pregnancy Act of 1971 be changed? Yet again, the ruling given by Bombay High Court on Mehtas case raises this question.
