Description:The location of Rossett Hall makes for an ideal leisure break. Situated in the quaint village of Rossett (with two working water mills) the hotel is just a ten minute drive from the historic walled city of Chester, the same distance from the market town of Wrexham and at the gateway to the wonderful North Wales Borderlands. Rossett Hall is a fine example of Georgian period architecture. Built in 1750 by local businessman John Boydell, a leading publisher of engravings, silversmith and Mayor of London (1790). A grade two listed building the house boasts a fine cantilever staircase built of sandstone which was designed by a Flemish architect captured during the Napoleonic war. The house remained in the Boydell family ownership until the mid 1970's until converted into one of the leading hotels in the area.
