Formerely a manor house, over the years the Bower Hotel has been sympathetically extended and refurbished to provide first class public areas and modern, comfortable bedrooms, whilst keeping the original charachter and charm. Although less than a minutes drive from the M60, the hotel is set well back from the road, nestled in it's own grounds and has free parking for 120 cars. Many of the bedrooms overlook the pretty garden at the back of the hotel.The Sheridan's restaurant is very popular with hotel guests and local residents and offers a wide range of original and exciting dishes, such as Shark marinated in Cajun spices or Duck breast with a black cherry and Kirsch sauce, and also a variety of traditional fayre, including the ever popular Sirloin Steak Diane, and traditional steak pie. With an extensive wine list and friendly staff, the Sheridan's Restaurant is one of the reasons why so many guests keep returning to the Bower.The location of the Bower is perfect if you wish to visit
