Talk about "if it ain't broke, don't fix it!" Acura gave its TSX model a makeover for 2009 but left alone all the things we liked about the previous model -- quality, great handling and a rev-happy little four that returned 26 miles a gallon during our week-long test.

"I have to say, Acura did not execute well on this vehicle. I was hoping they would put more power in it -- 201 horsepower for an entry luxury sedan is not acceptable. It feels really slow. I just think the car looks too much like the new Accord."

The 2009 Acura TSX compact sedan is a pretty good Honda. Normally, that would be high praise, a hearty pat on the back for a job well done. Unfortunately, Acura is supposed to be Honda's luxury brand. It has to reach higher. Hondas should aspire to being as good as Acuras, not vice versa.
