Alfa Romeo announces that it will showcase the brand new Alfa Romeo Giulietta at the 2010 Geneva Auto Show. Four engines, all of them turbocharged, will be available at launch. The 1.4TB is the baby with 88kW (120hp), followed by the 1.4TB MultiAir making 125kW (170hp). The other two are diesel-powered. For those who don’t know, the Giulietta name is a tribute to an automobile myth, a car that in the 1950s, caught the imagination of generations of car enthusiasts and it appears the new model is planning to achieve the same success as the legendary model.
These are the latest renderings to come out of Alfa’s all-new flagship saloon, the 169. While the 166 failed to live up to expectations, it’s obvious from these images of the 169 that Alfa is back on track. The design is certainly outstanding and may even signal a new styling direction for the company. The grill is definitely recognizable as an Alfa Romeo but the rear end is all-new.
